Here’s another book card I made using the first cutting file listed above.
The files used to make cards 2, 3, 4, & 5 above are all Print & Cut.
The frames and borders may look complicated but because they are all cut using the Craft ROBO there’s no difficult hand cutting involved. They are just some examples the cards I’ve made using this designer’s cutting files.

- Owls Pop Out Card
- Silhouette Dancers on Roses

CUP Designer - Carol Clarke
19/10/2010 by Gwyneth.
From looking through my list of cards and designers I’ve realised that Carol Clarke is the designer I’ve used most sheets from with over 40 of her sheets used so far. Of course, Carol is probably the designer with most design sheets and kits up on CUP, with over 10,000 to choose from, so it’s not difficult to find lots of “must have” sheets amongst her collection. Also the topper styles she designs, such as the “Twisted Spiral Side Stacker”, make it easy to cut and make up cards that still look a bit different. She has some nice backing sheets amongst her designs as well, such as the swirls one used on card 5.
Click on the card image to see a larger version of the image.
Click on the sheet title below to see the design sheet used in each case.
- When Words Fail Teardrop Card
- Men’s Ties Fold Back Card with Decoupage
- Gold Floral Cut and Fold Corner Card Plain Card Base
- Pansy on Butterfly Lace Wavy Spiral Side Stacker
- Greetings, Lace and Pearls matching Backing Paper
- Fluttery Butterfly Quick Card with Fan Pyramage Topper
- Elegant Boudoir Quick Card with Wavy Spiral Side Stacker
- Just Roses Twisted Pyramage sheet
- Flower Filled Wheelbarrow Quick Card Circle Pyramage Topper
- Hedgehog Cut and Fold Card
Most of these examples were easy to cut out and make, number 1 in the first set being the only one that required a bit more intricate cutting out. They are just a small example the cards I’ve made using this designer’s design sheets.

Uploaded Some New Card Photos To CUP
16/10/2010 by Gwyneth.
I made some more cards yesterday, uploaded their photos to CUP and got the lot verified before bed time. That’s good going for me. Here are five examples from the batch of ten cards I made (although they involved a few more sheets as I used some backing and inserts):
- Angel Wobble Card by Deborah Davies
- Diamante Dragonflies Circle Pyramage Topper by Carol Clarke
- Party Night Toppers by Rebecca Brindley (also used in this card was the Backing Paper and Insert)
- Stained Glass Xmas Nativity, Shaped Card by Sheila Rodgers
- Get Well Soon Doctor Dude Circle Pyramid by Gordon Fraser
The first one had slightly more intricate cutting out than the others as it involved more than just straight, curved or circular cutting, but I wouldn’t say it was really difficult as the pieces are quite chunky and have wide black lines.

CUP Designers
14/10/2010 by Gwyneth.
craftsUprint has around 150 designers, some of which are artists in their own right and create everything themselves whereas others either buy or licence designers resources from many sources and then digitally create their own design sheets from these bought in elements. With such a diversity of designers you are sure to find a design to suit your recipient on CUP, and if you can’t - well there’s always the “Ask a Designer” area on the associated forum for you to put in your requests.
For my next few posts I think I’ll concentrate on a single designer for each post, but to give you an idea - here are the names of the just a small number of the designers I’ve used design sheets from, in no particular order, with one example for each designer :
- Carol Clarke - Non-Religious Sympathy Quick Card
- Sarah Edwards - Parrots in the Rainforest Pyramid Sheet
- Sally McIntyre - Iris magic with ribbon add your own greeting
- Deborah Davies - Were’s My Lippy?
- Ammie Sanders - Wedding Chappel with Bride & Groom 5 Minute Easel Card
- Linda Whittles - Baby Hand
- Amy Cummings - Lion Card Front Pyramid Design
- Sheila Rodgers - Stained Glass Angel Twisted Pyramid
- Rebecca Brindley - Birthday Rose Toppers and Ribbons
- Angela Wake - Lady of the East
Most of the ten examples above are very easy to cut out, but a few have slightly more intricate cutting.
As my cards are made for a lot of different people, with different tastes, I’ve tried to go for a variety of different styles of designs and different topper types. Despite this general perusing around CUP to get a variety, for the majority of my cards I still find myself drawn to a high percentage of designs from the same dozen or so designers, but must have got some designs from over fifty designers. If you’ve read my previous blog posts you may already have noticed some of the names that appear time and time again. As well as being drawn to the designs from these people it could also be that these designers are the ones that create topper styles of a type that I find easiest to cut out with my problems, and also easiest to put together.
I’m sure that all CUP customers find themselves drawn to certain styles and card types, so why don’t you click through to the site to pick out your favourites.
