CUP Discount, Competition and Other News : End Of April 2011

Crafty Bob is giving 20% off on orders from CUP until midnight on 30th April 2011 – there’s information about this and other CUP News in the last newsletter sent out which you can see – here.

CUP Fathers Day Competition – April 2011

All the entries are now in for the “Fathers Day Competition – April 2011” so please go and have a look at them by clicking -> here.   There are over fifty entries created by cardmaking crafters from around the world, (and yes, this does include an entry I made) so please click on each thumbnail image to have a good look at each card entry, as just a quick look at the thumbnails doesn’t show you the detail of the workmanship put into the cards.  You may even get some inspiration to create your own Father’s Day card from seeing the variety of cards created by so many cardmakers who are at differing levels of development as card makers.

After having a good look at all the entries, why don’t you go on to vote for your favourite?

(Note – you do need to be a member of Craftforums to place a vote, but you can look without voting and if you do want to vote, and are not a member yet, then why not join this really great and friendly crafting community?)

My Entry

You’ll find my description of how I made my entry to the competition when you click on the thumbnail image of my card on the page – here – to see the larger image of the card, so I won’t write all about it again here – just go and have a look and read. The image below is of the front of the card – the image uploaded for the entry is the dimensional pop-out/easel/etc., inside of the card.

Father’s Day Card Competition Entry - Front

The kit and sheets I used to make the whole card were as follows:

cup138046_437 – Gardening_Allotment Dude Kit
cup8717 – Someplace Backing Paper 2
cup72148_13 – Floating Deckchair
(Parts of the last two were used on the inside)

As Father’s Day is on different dates around the world I did make a post highlighting some cards I’d made that are suitable for Father’s Day last month.  You can go back to look at it by clicking here.

You can see the cards I’ve made using design sheets from CUP in my “Crafter Showcase Area” on – here
(Just scroll down past the top boxes to see the cards.)
