Black and Pink

I’ve made a card and would like to enter it into a challenge:

Here’s the card:

 cup230285_596 - card01 - Diamond Square layers

This is how I made it:

I cut the layers out of black and pink Hunkydory Silk Art card using the cutting file Diamond Square layers..Studio (created by Tina Fitch) and my Cameo cutting machine.  The base card is made from a sheet of pink linen textured and printed cardstock folded in half and a strip cut off the bottom.  I punched out little flowers out of this cut off strip using a Tonic Petite Petal Pairs flower punch.  The layers are build up and stuck together using 1mm deep, double sided, foam tape.  I put a topper on of Daisy, who’s printed out as a digi stamp from the Daisy and Friends CD-ROM and coloured it in using pink shades of pro-markers as well as skin-tones and hair colour. As embellishment I used a piece of two-tone pink ribbon tied in a bow, and the flowers I’d punched out with a black sticky back gem in the middle.

Hope you like my card.

I’ve made a card and would like to enter it into a small number of challenges:

Here’s the card:

 cup74979_172 - card03 - Spring Daffodils Shattered Pyramid Sheet

This is how I made it:

The topper on this card is a little bit different in that it’s a “shattered pyramid” (Spring Daffodils Shattered Pyramid Sheet by Sarah Edwards).  This sort of topper design is easy to cut out and not to difficult to put together – although I do put some glue on the back of the foam strips I use to attach the pieces to allow me to slip them into place.  The base card is an 8″ x 8″ white card with a decorative edge (Cupcake Crafting 8×8 inch Scalloped Cards – I think).  To the front of this I attached a panel of background Floral Swirls A4 Backing Paper by Ammie Sanders which I’d printed onto Super Smooth white cardstock and cut with a wavy edged cutter.  I matted the base image of the shattered pyramid onto a piece of Centura Pearl Snow White card-stock and trimmed to give a fine border.  I then matted this onto a piece of green Satin Board.  I wrapped a piece of yellow organza with satin border ribbon around the spine of the card and tied it in a bow before attaching the matted image to the card front using 2mm deep, double sided foam tape.  I used 1mm deep, double sided foam tape to attach all the “shattered Pyramid” pieces.  I finished off the card with two peel-offs – a silver draggon in the bottom left corner, and a greeting “Cyfarchion” (Welsh for “Greetings”) the other side.
