Today I had a complete stop on any tidying and went to do a batch of Christmas cards. I wanted to top up my box of Christmas cards before taking them up to our Chapel tomorrow so that members can see and buy during the tea after the service. Most are made from Hunkydory card-stock and die-cuts, but one batch is made by recycling old Christmas cards as toppers on the new cards. You can see the cards I made today, together with one birthday card I made at the request of a friend earlier this week, in this E-mail. Unfortunately the light conditions were fluctuating a bit by the time I’d finished making the cards today so not all the pictures are as good as I’d like.

CARDS:
(If you click on the thumbnail images you can have a look at a larger image of each item.)
This first card was made on the request of a friend to give to one of her grandsons who’s a rugby player.
- Rugby Quick Card with pyramage by Carol Clarke (I didn’t know what colours his team plays in so I went for a design with rugby posts and rugby ball on, rather than an actual player. I wanted to give a bit of a rougher look to the card, as the grandson is in his teens, so went for a 8″ square kraft card base with a mat of core’dinations cardstock that had torn edges on top. I then stuck on the pyramid topper, which I’d printed out onto Matte Crafty Bob cardstock, before finishing the card off with peel-offs. Nothing intricate to cut out at all, making this a relatively easy card to make.)
- For the insert I simply printed out the main panel in one tone red at a larger size and stuck a white panel with the greeting typed on it in the middle.
These cards were made using the Hunkydory blockbuster kit of four packs that I bought via Create & Craft a few months ago. The cards vary in sizes up to A5 size.
The next three were made with items from the same Hunkydory kit, but are larger, A4, cards.
This set of cards are all made by recycling old Christmas cards to make new toppers for use on the front of these.

CUP UPDATE:
CUP Mailer – A copy of the mailer sent out on Friday, 5th October, can be seen by clicking – here. This includes what’s on the Free CD-ROM that’s available this week if you spend more than £10 on the craftsUprint website. And the really good thing about this freebie is that little extras come free with it, and also that there’s free P&P on the freebies. Of course, there’s lots of other bits of news and lots of lovely designs to look at in the mailer as well.
