Thank You – for popping over to have a look at my blog
and also thank you to everybody who’s left comments on my previous blog posts.
There was a Card Swap on the “Stamping Dragon Designs” group on Facebook in March and I decided to join in. I was partnered with Kim Brown from Kentucky in the USA.
This is the card I received from Kim. It arrived in the post yesterday.
It all folds up on itself and then opens out to this. The second and third photos are closer looks at the two sentiment tags on the card. It’s a really lovely card. Thank you so much Kim!
This is the card I sent Kim. And it arrived with her this week as well.
- Spring Flowers in plant pot by Janette Padley and Red floral backing sheet by Stephen Poore (I printed this digital stamp out onto 300gsm Super Smoth white cardstock at smaller than the given size. I also printed out a red floral backing as well. I coloured in this digi stamp using my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. The colours I used were: flower centres – Aniseed, Sumer Sun; flower petals – Rose Pink, Antique Pink, Blossom; Ribbon – Rose Pink, Rose Peach; green shade inside bunch of flowers – Olive Green; shaddow around outside – Sea Mist. I then cut out the coloured in digi out using a die. I also cut out a mat with one size larger die out of some 250gsm linen textured cardstock as well as cutting out swirls, flowers and a corner element out of the same cardstock using different dies. I scored and folded in half an A4 sheet of pale pink Adorable Scorable cardstock and rounded the corners with a paper punch. I trimmed the background sheet into a panel that was 1cm smaller than the card front and again rounded the corners. I went round the outside edges of the panel with the digi stamp and the background panel with one of the ProMarkers before assembling my card, using finger-lift tape to attach the background to the card front and 1mm deep, double sided, foam tape to attach the digi panel to the mat, and the mat to the card front. I used glue gel to attach the corner with the flowers on top, and the flourishes before adding midget gems as embelishments.)
- Red floral insert 1 by Stephen Poore (I printed off an insert that matched the backing paper design I’d used and stuck this inside the card using finger-lift tape as well).

(Hi All – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it, but due to the fact that I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts, that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.)
