Just a quick post this time to show you one card I received and one I sent.
My partner for the November Card Swap on the “Stamping Dragon Designs” group on FB was Vicky Fortier. Photos of the card I received from her, together with the card I sent her, and the details of what I used to make it, can be seen below. The theme for the November Card Swap was “CHRISTMAS”.
.
CARD RECEIVED:
Novembeer Card Swap on the Stamping Dragon Designs FB group – this is the card I received from Vicky. Thank you so much Vicky.
I love the colours of this, and the image of the girl making a snow angel is such a fone image.
.
CARD SENT:
This next one is the card that I sent Vicky – I’ve done something a bit different and made the background all white on white with the coloured digi-stamp the only thing with colour on the card.
(Clicking on the medium or thumbnail sized images brings up a larger version of the image that shows the effects of better. Clicking on the text links below takes you to the pages where you can see some of what I used to make the card.)
- Front view of card.
- Slightly different angle and with flash that shows some of the twinkle on the window panes.
- Angled view of part of the card front.
Details:
Ruperts Window by Janette Padley ( I printed the image onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock and then coloured it in using my ProMarkers. The colours I used were: Lipstick Red, Ruby, Bright Green, Grass, Cyan, Walnut and Cloud Blue FlexMarker . After colouringit in I went over the window panes with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen to give them a twinkling frosty look. I also added some Martha Stewart glitter glue to the bottom right of each pane. I got out my Joy machine and some of my small number of dies for this card, cutting several snowflakes
and some Tattered Lace bunting to spell “Nadolig Llawen” – which is Welsh for Happy Christmas – out of linen textured cardstock. I went over the snowflakes with the same clear Wink of Stella as I’d used on the window panes. After cutting out the window I matted it onto white Adorable Scorable cardstock and trimmed to give a small border before attaching it to the front of a pre-cut and scored shaped card using 2mm deep, double sided, foam tape. I thredded some white, 6 strand cotton, through the bunting and then used glue gel to attach snowflakes and bunting to the card front.)
