An Update and A Few Cards

cup376829_1749 - card01 - Mothers Love Mini Theme For those of you who saw my scrapbook page layout in my previous post and couldn’t work out which one of the girls is me – I’m right at the back, in the top centre of the photo, wearing a Welsh hat.

I’ve not got a lot of items to show you today – only 3 cards.

I have been working on other cards and crafting projects, but they are mostly for Design Team work and you will be seeing them appear on my blog over the coming months – starting with the first one tomorrow.

.

CARDS:

(If you click on the thumbnail images you can have a look at a larger image of each item.)
(Clicking on the text links below each set of images takes you to the pages where you can see some of what I used to make the cards. Where these linked pages are on the CUP site you will usually find a longer description of how I made the item at the bottom of the page.)

I think that each of my cards today have a bit of a different “flavour” to them. I hope you like them.

  1. Afro Hippy Dude Decoupage Sheet by Gordon Fraser and Passionately Paisley Mini Theme by Janette Padley (The sheet was printed out at half size onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock and the pieces were cut out.  The base card is an A4 sheet of 300gsm linen textured white cardstock, scored using my Hougie Board and folded in half to make an A5 card.  Onto this I stuck a panel of silver, holographic, paper.  I cut a panel of background printed from the Mini Theme kit onto 120gsm good quality white paper and put a decorative ribbon [part of some blog candy I’d received] around it near the bottom before sticking it to the holographic panel using finger-lift tape.  I then shaped the decoupage pieces and built them up, glueing each in place using glue gel.  I’ve not put on a greeting yet as I don’t know what language the card will be needed in.)
  2. Angled view of card to show decoupage dimension.
  3. Angled view from other side of card.

  1. Green daisy insert by Sharon Poore (For this card I printed the design out twice.  Once onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock and once onto 120gsm good quality white paper.  The insert was trimmed, both were scored using my Hougie Board, and both were folded in half, the paper version being attached inside the card version using finger-lift tape.  I the went round both the outside edge and the oval panel with a gold Wink of Stella brush pen with a wiggly line.  I went over all the yellow centres of the daisies with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen.  I decorated the card with pieces I’d got left over from other projects [see post of 31-3-14] that I’d cut on my Brother ScanNCut machine from white and gold vellum and white cardstock, plus other embelishments from my crafting stash, all attached using glue gel.  I’ve left the greetings panel empty for the time being until I know what occasion and language the card will be needed in.)
  2. Angled view of card to show dimension.
  3. Inside of card.

1cup522341_8 - card02- white wolf card with shaped layers 2cup522341_8 - card03- white wolf card with shaped layers

  1. white wolf card with shaped layers by Angela Wake (The design sheet was printed out onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock and the pieces were cut out.  I took a 6″ square, scalloped edge, white base card and attached the base image layer directly to it using finger-lift tape.  I then built up the other layers, attaching them using 2mm deep, double sided, foam tape.  I also attached one of the greetings in the same way.)
  2. Angled view of previous card to show the pyramage layers.

(Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.) (Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.)
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box
