Christmas Card Making In July 2014

A Batch Of Christmas Cards

-oOo-

Regular readers of my blog will know that, while I do love to make a variety of styles of cardmaking and crafting in general, I do like having a few kits with die-cuts in the house for when I don’t feel up to cutting out small things or just want the satisfaction of having created something when I’m too weak or tired to do other forms of card making and crafting.  Well today my hands and arms were painful, but I felt like doing something to keep me occupied while waiting for the Tesco groceries delivery – and we had a phone call to appolagise because the delivery was going to be late.  So – today’s makes were all made from one kit.  I did use some extra white hammered cardstock, some foiled adorable scoreable cardstock, and some little foil bordered base cards, from my crafting stash to add to the kit.  All I had left at the end of my crafting session were the English greetings panels and a bit of foiled paper ribbon and sheet edges that I’d cut off.

I had 21 quick and easy Christmas cards made from one kit to add to my Christmas card selection.

The kit I used was “The Road to Bethlehem” kit that came with the “Crafting with Hunkydory” issue 18 magazine.  Thank you Hunkydory for creating a Nativity themed kit.  All the cards are all A5 or smaller and used no more than 2mm deep foam tape for layering dimension so that they will all go through the UK post using a standard letter stamp.  (I do love the demonstrations cards made on Create & Craft, but other than a few hand delivered cards all the matting and layers and dimensions make them more expensive to post.)

(Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.) (Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.)
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box
