Another Patchwork Cushion Cover Complete
-oOo-
A few weeks ago I showed you one completed quilted patchwork cover for a foam cushion that I’d made for one of the kitchen chairs (blog post – here)
I said at the time that I have a lot of Projects Half Done (PHDs), including cutting up some more foam into the right size for other chairs.
And sewing together more of the squares I already had cut out to make covers for them.
So, by now I’ve cut four more pieces of foam to the required size. One for a box stool inside the front door, two for kitchen chairs, and one more of a more random size made by glueing three bits I had left together with Pinflair Glue Gel.
The glued together one needs a bit of trimming to make sides even once glue has completely dried.
I also sewed together the patchworks for the cover of the one for the box stool and quilted it. (Have a look at my previous post to see what I used as I followed the same method for these as I did for the previous one.)
This cushion was wider than my first, hence 5 not 4 blocks to each row, but it isn’t as deep front to back. Rather than cut one row in half I decided to wrap it round the front edge rather than putting the strip all the way around.
I sewed the 2.5″ (2″ finished) strips round the other three sides, which is the depth of the foam, before adding the back.
And here’s the finished cushion.
.
So another done and a few more to go. I do these when I feel up to doing a bit of crafting but not up to constructing more complicated blocks, so keep ane eye out a post in the future showing how I get on with covers for the two with a curved back. Need to get my brain in gear for them.

(Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it – but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.) (Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.)
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box
