Blankets And Pillow Cases
Today I’ve got another catchup post for you.
I did a search on my blog for blankets because I wanted to know the washing instructions from the ball bands of the yarn I’d used to make a blanket each for two of my nephews. I was very surprized when the search didn’t bring up blog posts about the blankets in question.
So I had to go looking for spare yarn I had left over for the washing instructions and then take photos of the creations.
The first blanket is very bright and multicoloured. When he saw me crocheting this my youngest nephew decided that he’d like it.
It still looks good after several washes and being used and dragged around the place a lot. I didn’t have enough room to spread it out completely, but you get an idea of what it is like from this photo.
I bought a pair of pillows and a pair of black pillow cases and also crocheted a band which I gathered and put across the top of the pillow cases.
The pillows naturally live inside the pillow cases. The blankets also go inside the pillow cases when not in use.
I’ve searched my box of yarn ends and found some of the yarn I used. It was Stylecraft Double Knitting yarn. Here’s a ballband off one of the colours.
My younest nephew’s brother, when he saw the bright blanket, said that he would prefer a more muted or camoflage look blanket himself. I let him look at the options and choose the yarn he wanted me to usr.
This is what his blanket looks like.
It’s big enough for a double bed so allows him to wrap it around him twice.
This is what his pillow case looks like.
And with everything tucked in together.
Next I need to double check, but I’m almost certain that the blanket I’ve finished for my own bed didn’t come up in my search of my blog either, so if I’m right, that will mean another catchup blog post before too long.

(Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it – but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.) (Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.)
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box
