June Calender Page
-oOo-
If you’ve visited my blog previously you may have seen the posts I’ve made showing how I’ve decorated the blank calender from Papermill Direct that I gave to my mother. I’ve not blogged the early months of the year, but you can see the post for April – here, and for May – here.
So, after colouring in a digi stamp for one month and painting a screen printed image for another, what would I do that’s different for June?
This time I decided to go for decorating the page with items from a Kanban country scenes card making kit.
I actually showed all the images to my mother and asked her which one she would prefer.
The image she chose is perhaps more autumnal than June, but it is a nice scene, one that Mam liked. So off I went to grab the rest of the kit, some foam tape and fingerlift tape, and worked on the calender page.
I decoupaged some layers, which were already die cut strips in the kit. Not too many layers though as of course next month the page will be turned over and I don’t want too much bulk to be at the back pushing out the calender at that time. For these I used foam tape.
The kit also contained metalic, foiled, elements, and I chose an assortment of these in gold, including a frame, to set off the image.
Side view showing some layering.
Framed with gold frame from kit.
Stuck on calendar page.
I normally only put some sort if image at the top of each page, but this time I decided to spread out my embelishments beyond the actual decoupaged image by adding butterflies both on and off the frame snd putting corners on the outside of the whole page.
I don’t think I mentioned before that I used ribbons to hang a plastic wallet file underneath the calender. We put things like appointment letters, repeat prescription slips, etc., in here, together with a pen for writing on the calendar.
This is what the whole page looks like.
.
So, that’s the June page. I now need to think of what to prepare for the July page. I’m sure I’ll be blogging what I make the start of next month.

(Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it – but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.) (Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.)
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box
