More Items I’ve Screen Printed On

Some More Screen Printed Items

I’ve put up two blog posts already this month where I had screen printed some items – here and here.

In this post I’ll show you the last few items I did the same time.

I’d used copper ink to screen print one set of items with a giraffe on, and blue/black ink on another set of items with a monkey on.

This time I have gone random, using a sprinkles background screen, and then dotting all over it with random splodges of several coloures from button nose pink to green, and several other colours, including copper.

The first print was onto a vest top for me.  The colours are more distinct.

The ink was gathered up on my squeegee and pushed back off at the top to to print off again onto a neutral coloured bag. The colours are a bit more merged on this one.

I again gathered up the ink on my squeegee and pushed back off at the top to to print off again onto a strap top vest. The colours are a lot more merged on this one.

Once again I gathered up the ink and pushed it off at the top of the screen and printed onto a black bag.  This time there isn’t much distinction of colour between the spots as the ink has marbled and mixed during the previous three prints.

I still had some ink left to collect up. I’ve put this into a spare pot until I do some more screen printing, as a mixed ink like this can’t be returned to any source pot like I do when printing in one colour.  I find the the mixture is quite good for prints of animals such as the fox as it gives a dark colour with flecks of colours appearing in it.

For the 2018 new year I made up packs of random cards for some of the family and friends. I presented them in kraft paper bags.

I’m working on more packs now, but I will present them in the bags I’ve screen printed lately, which means that after the cards are used the bag can be used for shopping.  A double gift.  I’ll be showing you the cards in batches over the next few weeks.

I’ve got several projects on the go, so I’m sure that I’ll have more to blog about before long. Keep an eye out for new posts from me in the future.
