Makeing an Emoji Birthday Card With Pocket For Gift – Linked Video
Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).
Today I have an Emoji birthday card to show you.
I set myself a challenge to make a matching card with pocket to go with a gift using stuff that might be in any home, not my endless supply of crafting tools and consumables. Sometimes it is good to get back to basics – it makes you look at things with fresh eyes.
I even decided to video me makeing it for uploading to my new YouTube channel. A video that will hopefully help new card makers but make experienced card makers think.
To make it matching I decideď to use some of the wrapping paper I’d used on the gift to make the card, which has a pocket inside for an extra gift such as money or gift card. The wrapping paper came from Tesco, ordered with our grocery delivery. I’ve ordered a cake with the same image for delivery before the person’s birthday. I just hope they have it in stock on delivery day.
(Remember that copyright rules apply to such things as images on wrapping paper, not just licenced images from well know companies who agressively go after people who make money from their copyrighted images. It’s one thing to use wrapping paper to present a gift in a different way, in this case some money in a pocket inside a gift birthday card, but you can not use wrapping paper to make cards to sell because you don’t have a licence to use them for personal or charitable gain.)
This is the what the card looked like in the end.
And here with the envelope and gift that went with it.

A Challenge For You
I finish the video by challenging you all to make a card with simple things.
If you do accept the challenge I’d love to see what you make so please post pictures with some info, or a link to any blog page that has details, on my Crafftau MAES MIERI Crafts Facebook Page in the album – here.

Thank you for reading this blog post.
I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it – but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.
Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box.
Notice: I’m sure you are already aware that any comments and details you leave will be stored on the system, and those that go through moderation will be visible to the public. If you are given the option for the system to store your details so that you don’t have to fill in all your info each time you want to leave a comment then cookies will be used for this.
