Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog
Playing Around With Inks, Stamps and Stencils
Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).
Today’s blog post and video isn’t about showing you completed projects, it’s about me just having a play with some inks, stencils and stamps, and seeing what I create.
I pulled out an assortment of crafting bits onto the table at the start of last week, and did bits of playing and then creating several times during the week, until I had to clear the table for the weekend and Tesco delivery. Things just took shape as I was playing and wanting to try out different things.
I put my camera to record most of what I was doing, so when I finished I had well over an hour and a half of footage – I know, not a lot for several days of crafting, but I can’t do a lot of anything before needing to rest.
Having seen that what I’d recorded was too long to make one video, even with speeding up bits, I separated out the playing with inks and the creating a couple of finished items, to make separate videos. Today I’ve got part 1 to show you.
The stamps and stencils are new ones I bought in the January Sales, so this is my first time having a play with them.

These are what I used in my play session:
- Dreamees Dinky Inkies – Ink Pads and Re-inker Bottles
- Mini Spritz Bottles
- Refilable Water paintbrush
- Finger Sponge Daubers
- Ranger stamping ink
- We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced
- 300gsm Super Smooth White Card
- Inkylicious stencils – Not all the ones I bought earlier this year are still available, but several are.
- Stamps, also from Inkylicious – Water Rain Drops, Horse and Grasses
These are what I finished off with:
A6 in size. 1st play. Not quite right this one!
A4 size. This one has turned out much better. The look I wanted as a background for a project for March 1st – so keep an eye out for that one.
A4 in size and much better than the smaller, first, one.
Back to A6 size for this background. I have an idea for using this one but haven’t put it together yet.

Go to the announcement at the bottom of the blog post – Here! – to get the details of how to be in with a chance of getting the tree.
I have several bits of different crafting on the go at the moment, so keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.

I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it – but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.
Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box.
