A Card From Inked Backgrounds inc. Video Of It Being Made
Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).
Today I am going to show you how I made a card by starting off with two of the backgrounds I made during my inking session mid February. (You can see the blog post about creating the backgrounds – Here!, inluding video links.)
Starting off with these –
I stamped giraffe and a tree onto one, added lines for the horizon and to ground the silhouettes, used what ink there was left on my applicator to darken the area towards to top right, before matting image onto black and then onto the other blended background. Then stuck the card onto a Black base card.
Today’s videos showing the cards being made :

What I Used
These are what I used in my play session:
- Two backgrounds that I showed me creating in previous blog post with video – Here!
- 38″ x 16″ sheet of Black Cardstock
- Ranger stamping ink
- We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced
- 300gsm Super Smooth White Card
- Stamps, also from Inkylicious – Giraff and Trees
- Fine tip 0.3mm Black Liner Pen
- Cutterpillar Pro
- Scoring Board
This is the card I created.
I decided not to put a greeting on the outside, only inside.
I have several bits of different crafting on the go at the moment, so keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.

Thank you for reading this blog post.
I hope you like what you’ve seen and read – You should find a box below where you can leave a comment if you feel like it – but due to the fact that, like many I’m sure, I’ve had some problems with Spam/advertising posts that are absolutely nothing to do with the content of my blog, I now moderate all comments before they go live. Genuine comments will go live when I’ve checked through the list – usually a couple of times a day.
Thank you to every body who’s left comments on my previous blog posts. I really do appreciate them all.
If you can’t see the comment box then there should be a link that says “Responses” and clicking on that will bring up the box.
Notice: I’m sure you are already aware that any comments and details you leave will be stored on the system, and those that go through moderation will be visible to the public. If you are given the option for the system to store your details so that you don’t have to fill in all your info each time you want to leave a comment then cookies will be used for this.
