Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog
April Calendar Page
Any regular viewers know that I buy a blank calendar for my mother each year and decorate the page for each month as it comes near. Sometimes my mother has a request for what she wants on the page and sometimes I surprize her with what I put up.
I try and use different techniques and have a different look to each month.
This time my mother told me to choose, so I chose a collection, tripped it out in front of her, and told her to choose an image from the collection for me to work with. She chose a little yellow duck. I then waved a few different cardstocks at her and between us we decided on what to use with the duck image.
So, after a bit of cutting, matting and layering, and sticking, a quick, cheerful, layout was made. Nothing elaborate this month. I think she likes it.
What I Used
- Papermill Direct blank calendar
- Fingerlift Tape
- Hunkydory Box Magazine Cardmaking Collection Issue 7
- 2mm Deep, Double Sided, Foam Tape
- Some cardstock and paper embelishments from my crafting stock
Photos Of The April Calendar Page
This is what I put together, before sticking it on the calendar.
And this is it from an angle so that you can see that some of the items are dimensional, not flat on the page.
I picked yellow and green as the colours to put the month title in Welsh on top as well.
And how it looks on the calendar when it is hung up.
Not the best photo as I couldn’t get any direction to photograph from without haing a lot of glare because of the shiny surfaces and foiled patterns.
I have several bits of different crafting on the go at the moment, so keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.
