More Decoupaged Cards

More Decoupaged Cards

Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).

Although my blog posts are a little further apart than usual at the moment I am still doing a little crafting in between doing my other hobbies.  I’ve started sitting out the garden for a bit to tidy up my herb and strawberry towers, and my troughs of other things, so part of my hobbie time over the summer will be out the garden, but as usual, some garden photos may creep into scrapbook layouts or cards over the next few months.  I’m also still ploughing through the tins and albums of family photos and attaching the scans to the relevant people in my digital family tree as well as putting them in the family FB group to allow other family members to see them as well as finding out if they know the names of some that are unlabeled, and finding out more information about the people.

Today’s post is showing some more cards I’ve made using the latest Hunkydory floral Decolarge collection.  You can see some I made previously in my post – Here!

Some Decoupage Cards

I made this as a sympathy card.  I just took one layer out of one of the Decolarge sheets and stuck it to the front of a pre-foiled and scored A5 base card using fingerlift tape.  I think the base card is a Kanban one.  I drew a black line around 2mm inside the foiled frame using a fineliner pen and added “Yn Meddwl Amdanoch” (Welsh for “Thinking Of You”) peel-off greeting.

It’s quite a simple card, but suitable for purpous I think.

Inside I put a matching insert with the greeting peel-off greeting “Gyda Chydymdeimlad” (Welsh for “With Sympathy”.

Another sympathy card.  This time made with more layers of the same Decolarge design.  These were stuck together using foam tape.  An A4 sheet of very Adorable Scorable cardstock was scored and folded in half.  I did the mistake of photographing this on a dark background and you therefore can’t clearly see that I have drawn a 5mm deep black frame around the outside of the card.

The black frame is a little easier to see in this photo.

And again I used a matching insert inside.
