June Calendar Page

Thank you for coming over to have a look at June Calendar Page

My regular visitors will know that I buy a blank calendar from Papermill Direct every year and give it to my mother. Each month I do some sort of papercrafting to decorate the page, sometimes something my mother askes for and sometimes something different I’m working on.

If you are a new visitor to my blog you can catch up with the months so far this year : the January page – here! February page – here! March page – here! April page – here! and May page – here!

What I Did

I stamped the image out and then coloured it before trimming to the finished size.

I chose a background that I think worked with it as well as a couple of shades of blue cardstock.

These were all cut to size as mats and layers as well as a few decorative element strips to break up the background.

The largest, dark blue, sheet was A4 in size and then everything else trimmed to fit as needed.

I made the Welsh “Mis Mehefin” title in two tones of blue as well.

Everything was stuck flat for this page, using fingrlift tape.

I finished off by wiping the gold inkpad around the outside of the panel and also sticking on some sticky back faux gems.

What I Used
Photos Of The June Calendar Page

This is the whole calendar hanging up in Mam’s room.  I attached a plastic wallet at the begining of the year so that things like hospital appointment letters, etc., can be dropped in and we know exactly where they are when needed.

A closer look at the page for Mis Mehefin – June.

This was the panel I created – photo taken after I’d inked the edges, but before I stuck it to the calendar.

A closeup of the stamped image I coloured in.  The colours don’t look quite right on my screen when compared to the real thing, but everybody’s screens look slightly different, so I have it doesn’t look to bad to you.

I will have a 65th wedding aniversary card card to show you in a couple of days time, so please do pop back to have a look at that.
