July Calendar Page

Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog
July Calendar Page

I know! I am seriously late posting photos and info about what’s on my mother’s calendar page for July.  With the cateract operation and the minor complication, as well as being all behind with other things around the house and garden as a result of that and the previous jaw infection and tooth extraction, I haven’t blogged for a while.  Saving my energy for what must be done.  And the weather being so hot hasn’t helped my energy levels either.  But I did get a page done for Mam’s calendar by the start of the second week in July, it’s just taken me longer than usual to get it blogged.

If you are a new visitor to my blog you can catch up with the months so far this year : the January page – here! February page – here! March page – here! April page – here! May page – here! and June page – here!

What I Did

Mam loves watching wildlife programs on the TV, especially meerkats, so this month I decided to raid my stash of Pollyanna Pickering images and create a calendar page with those.

Nothing too complicated or taxing this time – I simply used a sheet of Adorable Scorable as the main background, matted and layered two of the backgrounds from the same Pollyanna Pickering collection kit as the toppers.  Then I added a small assortment of wildlife toppers of various shapes and sizes in a bit of a random manor.

I finished off by preparing the title “Gorffennaf” (Welsh for July) in Publisher and printing onto paper, before using the same Fingerlift Tape I’d used for the rest of the page to put the title on the page.

What I Used
  • Papermill Direct blank calendar (you can already order for 2020 – here!)
  • Fingerlift Tape
  • Backgrounds and toppers from Pollyanna Pickering collections
  • A4 sheet of Adorable Scorable
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • A4 sheet of Super Smooth paper

This is the whole calendar page hanging up in Mam’s room.

A closer look.

Pollyanna Pickering certainly was a very tallented artist and a great loss to the world.
