More Welsh Sympathy Cards

As I said in a previous post, I have been asked to make some birthday and sympathy cards.  Today I have a sellection of Welsh sympathy cards to show you.

I have tried to make them in a variety of styles so that the person who wants them has a choice to pick from.  Religious, floral, prayer, the light of a candle.  Different people just like different things, especially on Sympathy cards

Today’s cards are made using items from the Kanban Loving Memories collection.

Card 1

The base card for this one was made using pale grey cardstock. The darker grey mat behind the image also came from the same Core Collection “Midnight Skies” coloured cardstock.

The foiled cardstock came from the Kanban collection.

The topper is one of the greetings stack that I’ve cut the greeting off the bottom.

A simple peeloff and a printed insert finished the card off.

Card 2

The base card was scored and folded sheet of cardstock from the collection as was the topper  I used some of the grey cardstock from the “Midnight Skies” cardstock as matting and layering and again added a peeloff and a printed insert.

While Fingerlift Tape was used to attach topper and greetings panel to the grey mat, Foam Tape was used to attach the matted items to the card front.

Card 3

I again used a grey cardstock from the “midnight” pack of cardstock as the base card and for the black mat behind the topper.  I used a corner punch to round the corners.  The topper and first mat came from the Kanban collection.  The topper was cut down to remove the greeting.

Again I used fingerlift tape for some of the layers and foam tape to attach the matted topper to the card front.  “Gair o Gysur” is Welsh for a “A Word of Comfort”.

Card 4

This card was made in a similar way to the previous one.  This time I put the greeting on a matted panel rather than directly onto the card front.

Like all the cards I attached a printed greeting inside.

I still have a few more cards to show you from this batch, so keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.
