December Calendar Page

Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog
December Calendar Page

Time for another page to be decorated on my mother’s calendar.

If you haven’t seen my previous calendar posts then you can find this year’s pages by following these links : the January page – here! February page – here! March page – here! April page – here! May page – here! June page – here! July page – here! August page – here! September page – here! October page – here! and November page – here!

For this month I’ve gone for a nativity scene topper with some added foliage and flower as decoration.

What I Did

I took a sheet of blue, spotted, cardstock as my base layer, then I chose a sheet of Adorable Scorable from the Hunkydory collection that went with my chosen topper. Trimmed it, and then attached with fingerlift tape.  I separated out the frames from around the topper, attached the topper directly to the matting and layering and then offset the outer frame and attached it using foam tape to give it dimension.

I made up a flower from my stash of Forever Flowers parts, and found a holly leaf cluster left over from doing a couple of Forever Flowerz wreaths.  I also cut a piece from an ivy garland.  These were stuck to my panel using glue gel (I had to put a weight on the holly leaves to make them stay where I wanted until the glue dried – I would have been better using a hot glue gun but that was in the garage and I didn’t want to go out there to bring it in and heat it up for such a small job.)

Once everythin was tuck firm, and left to dry overnight, the panel was then stuck to the December page of the calendar and I also added the month title in Welsh – Mis Rhagfyr.

What I Used
Photos Of The December Calendar Page

This is the whole calendar page as it looks hanging on the wall in Mam’s room.  Should have straightened the plastic wallet we have hanging underneath with appointment letters and repeat prescription papers in before I took the phot.

Just the calendar page.

A photo of just the month name and panel on the calendar.

And angled, closer, looks at the panel.

Hopefully, before long, I will have more batches of Christmas Cards to show you. I really am running behind with makeing the Christmas Cards for my mother and I to send, as well as packs to sell up in the chapel where a portion of the price goes to the Sunday School funds.
