13th Batch Of Christmas Cards For 2019

Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog

13th Batch Of Christmas Cards For 2019 – Welsh Cards

Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).

Today’s batch of cards (and the next one) are square ones made on a chrisp, white, base card – although the colour in the photos is not showing up as crisp a white as they are in reality.  I’ve made them very Clean And Simple, with very little additions to the topper, although I have put the toppers on with foam tape for a little bit of dimension.

What I Used
  • Items from Hunkydory Christmas Collection from this year
  • 6″ square cards with envelopes
  • 2mm and 3mm Shaker Foam Tape
  • Roller Glue Tape
  • Pinflair Bookbinding Glue
  • Black and Gold “Nadolig Llawen” Peeloffs
  • Glitter “Nadolig Llawen”
  • A4 White Paper – for printing out inserts
  • Paper Trimmer
What I did

The cards were already scored, so it was simply a case of folding them before starting.  I chose toppers from the collection of a size that left a lot of white space on the card front, keeping the framing element if there was one with the topper.

Each topper was stuck down using 2 or 3 mm deep foam tape while the framing element was stuck directly to the card front using either the roller glue tape pen or bookbinding glue.

I added a greeting to most to finish off the front.

For the inserts I printed off a greeting and my mother and my names (I know – cheating a bit to save having to write inside each one as I’m running out of Christmas steam by now).

The inserts were trimmed to size, folded, and stuck in using the roller glue.

Batch Of Cards

The insert in each card was a simple one like this.

The central topper on each card is raised up slightly on foam tape.

.

I’m coming to the end of my Christmas makes for this year, but still have some items to blog about.  Then it will be on to the new year and more crafting.
