Inky-Wizz – 2

Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog

Decorating an Inky-Wizz Cover

Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).

In my last post I showed you  how I’d constructed and decorated a large Inky-Wizz.  You can see the post – Here!

What I Did

The cover for the Inky-Wizz is made of calico that holds in place using hook and loop fastening.  It comes ready to be decorated.

To decorate this I decided to start by putting on strips of tape in random directions, criss-crossing each other to make a crazzy paving pattern.

This is what it looked like.

I then covered the table with paper and stuck the tape ends down onto it to hold everything in place before I sprayed all over with black fabric paint.

While that dried I had a good long rest and collected together several colours of metalic fabric spray paint, glitter paste, and multi surface metalic paint.

Once the black was dry I started decorating.  Some of these were sprayed on and some put through a stencil.  No particular design, just random.

The tape strips were removed once everything was dry.

It was then wrapped around my Inky-Wizz.

What I Used
Finished Item

This is the finished cover after I removed the masking tape.

And the whole Inky-Wizz with cover in place.

.

I still have a few cards to show you from those I did for some special occasions as well as family birthdays in February.  I’m also working on a post to show you how I’m labeling my inks and putting them into my Inky-Wizz.  Hopefully I will get the posts sorted in the next week or so.
