Mam’s Birthday Card

Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog

A Birthday Card For My Mother

Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).

Yesterday I showed you the gift I’d made for my mother for her birthday, and explained that I’d kept it simple because of being in agony with my shoulder.

Today I have the very simple card I made her to show you.

Mam likes watching the birds from her bedroom window – in addition to a bird feeding “tree” that I gave her several years ago that sits in a flower bed visible from her window, I’ve also put a stick on feeder onto her window so that she can see the birds coming to feed better.  So I decided to use an image of a bird from one of the Hunkydory Little Books for Mam’s card this time.

I simply matted the image onto a piece of blue cardstock, and then stuck this onto the front of a pre-shaped and scored base card.  I added a foiled banner greeting that says “Penblwydd Hapus” to the front and an insert that said the same inside.

Unfortunately my photos are not the best this time and I didn’t feel up to re-takeing the photos.

Now that I’ve been prescribed stronger pain killers, I am going to try and catch up a bit on blogging what I’ve already made, so keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.  Then I’ll try and get back on track makeing my Christmas cards.
