Christmas Cards – 049 to 054

Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog

Christmas Cards

A big thank you to all who have come to have a look at the Christmas Cards I’ve made so far this year.  I do appreciate your visits and comments, though circumstances have made it difficult for me to get enough time to visit every blog post made by crafting friends I do try and visit the craft groups I’m in on Facebook to keep up with your creations – and I am so impressed and wish I had half the tallent and patience that some of you have.

This time I have more Nativity cards to show you.  They are a little bigger than the last batch, A5 instead of 6″ square, and this lot have different dimensional elements on them.

What I Did

The card blanks I’ve used this time were pre-cut and scored A5 white base cards.

The toppers are again from Debbi Moore’s Nativity collection.  For some I just used papers and single topper layers raised using foam, for others I used decoupage – the whole collection includes matchit dies so that items can be cut out to layer without having to use a scissors, although some scissor work for less intricate shapes was involved in the creation of these cards.

After cutting, I built up the different cards, some layers using flat tape, some using foam tape, and some using glue gel.

I then added “Nadolig Llawen” peeloffs.

I finished off by putting a simple insert with the same greeting printed in black onto 120gsm paper on the inside.

I stamped my details onto the back to finish.

As I said in a previous Christmas card post – I’m numbering the Christmas cards I’m blogging this year so that I’ll know exactly how many I’ve made in total by Christmas.

Got to do the November page for Mam’s calendar next, but then I’ll be back with more Christmas Cards.
