April Calendar Page

Thank You! to all who are visiting my blog, whether for the first time or return visitors

Life

It’s a little too cold and wet to do gardening yet, so I decided it was time to tackle the repotting of the plants I have on the windowsil in the utility room.  They were not repotted last spring,  as I wasn’t well and in and out of hospital with cellulitis in my leg a couple of times (and a fortnight of intravenous antibiotic drip administered at home by the ART nurses afterwards), so the plants seriously needed repotting.

Some of the cactuses and succulents were ones my grandmother had.

I also started off a lot of seeds in pots in the utility room to have jump start when the weather improves enough for me to put them out.

There are now pots and traysan every empty surface of that room, some are actually growing, so I’m lookng forward to a productive summer in the garden.

Crafting

Time to show you what I’ve put on my mother’s April calendar page.  If you missed seeing the previous pages you can see : January – Here! February – Here! March – Here!

If you’ve seen any of my previous posts about the calendar I’ve been decorating for my mother month by month you will know that I ask her hat she would like next.  Having put a bird on her Mothers Day card last month, she chose an assortment of bird images by the same artist for this month’s calendar page.

What I Did

I simply chose a plain, off white, background cardstock, and stuck on the assortment of bird images using foam tape.

The finished piece was stuck up on the calendar with fingerlift tape.

I printed out the month in Welsh and used fingerlift tape again to stick this on.

The Finished Page

This is the panel.

I hope you can see the slight rise given by using the foam tape in this photo.

And here’s the whole page after everything was stuck in place.

.

More crafting to show you at some point so please do keep checking back for a look.

Have a great month everybody.
