2022 Calendar – 04 – Ebrill/April

April Calendar Page

Thank You! to all who are visiting my blog, whether for the first time or return visitors.

Last month I told you I was on antibiotics because I had a cellulitis infection on my face.  It cleared up nicely, but came back some 12 days later, and unfortunately didn’t clear with the same antibiotics this time. So I’ve been changed to different antibiotics – the type where you are not to go out uncovered even on a cloudy day. Or use a sunbed.  Never used a sunbed in my life, so that’s no problem, but it would be nice to sit out the garden for a bit without having to take the time to cover up first.  Mind you, the last few days the weather has been perishing cold, so not realy weather for sitting out, but I still need to have my short walk out to feed the birds and the fish.

No family birthday’s this month to make cards for. But I’m still working on some crafting projects, and an aunt has asked me to make her a batch of a dozen Welsh birthday cards, so I’ll need to start on those before long.

As far as how my slow sort through my crafting stash is going, all I can say is – slowly!  I’ve sold some of the items I’ve put on eBay and put some more up for sale, so if you haven’t taken a look at what I’ve put up there lately please do pop along for a look. You can see my listings on eBay – Here!

Time to show you what I’ve put on my mother’s April page on her calendar.

(If you want an idea of what I’ve made in the past, you can find them by following the following links – January – Here! February – Here! March – Here!)

This month I didn’t feel like thinking up a new idea, and Mam didn’t have any suggestions of what she’d like either, so I went for the same idea as last month, only with different animals.

If you don’t follow my blog regularly, and don’t know the story behind last month’s calendar page, then go and have a read of my March calendar page blog post – here.

What I Did

Like last month –  I chose three pictures of animals from a pad of Pollyanna Pickering’s Farmyard Animals.  I then typed and printed the first words of the song, as well as animal sounds, and cut them out.

I chose a sheet of brown Adoreable Scoreable cardstock to work on, then trimed a centimeter or so from each side of a sheet of blue cardstock to stick on to of that.

I then stuck on the animal pictures with some overlap before adding the wording. This time I have a cockrel, chicken, chicks, donkeys and pigs.

The finished piece was stuck up on the calendar with fingerlift tape.

The Finished Page

This is the panel.

The whole calendar page.

I usually put up a complete list of the previous year’s calendar at the start of each year, but realised while looking back that I hadn’t done so in my Januay post.

So – better late than never – here’s the list of the calendar pages for 2021:

January – Here! February – Here! March – Here! April – Here! May – Here! June – Here ! July – Here! August – Here! September – Here! October – Here! November – Here! December – Here!

I’ve nearly got the elephant crystal art picture finished, as well as more crafting on the go, so please do keep checking back for a look at my crafting projects.

Have a great month everybody.
