A Blanket I Crocheted
Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before).
With the weather not being as cold as it has been my mother was finding her continental quilt a bit warm when she goes back to bed after lunch for her afternoon nap. I therefore decided to use up some yearn I had and crochet her a blanket.
What I Did
This blanket is similar to one I made for myself some time ago. The difference is that this time I did one less row around for each “granny square”, and used a different colour for border, etc.
What I Used
For this project I used a lot of leftover yarn that I had from makeing a similar blanket for myself some time ago. And I bought some extra yarn in a brown colour to use for the joining up of the squares and around the outside as a border.
As you can see, I had a lot of different colours of yarn leftover from my previous project to make this blanket. The maroon coloured yarn was the one I’d used for joining and outside border on my own blanket I made previously.
This is what the whole blanket looks like when spread out.
I think Mam was quite happy with it when she tried it out.
I have several bits of different crafting on the go at the moment, so keep an eye out for them over the next few weeks.
