2nd Wedding Card – Welsh One
Hi and welcome to my blog (or welcome back if you’ve visited before). Thank you for coming over to have a look at my blog
One of our carers was getting married, the one who was kind enough to phone the doctor for me the day I got so terribly ill when Mam had failed to work her way through the endless information and press 1 for this and 2 for that, the day I got rushed to hospital.
As she is one of the carers we see most often I had decided to make her an unique card, but not overly fussy with flowers and things.
She has now been given the card and got married last weekend, so I can now show everybody the card.
What I Did
I’d found out from the person getting married that navy was to be the accent colour on her head-dress and the bow at the back of her daughter’s dress, so I decided to use a blue cardstock for the card.
Her initial is C, while her now husband has the initial R, so I thought I would make a card very specific to them by using the foiling quill in my Scan’N’Cut to foil their initials onto the blue cardstock as well as the greeting “Ar Ddydd Eich Priodas” (Welsh for On Your Wedding Day).
I used various dies from the Kanban collection I have to cut out the different layers of the card front from mirror card, pearlescent card and the sheet with the foiled initials and wording.
I then stuck all the layers onto the card front – some flat and some raised a bit for dimension.
The inside also had a foiled greeting, this time silver foil onto the same pearlescent paper – I just forgot to take a photo of the inside.
What I Used

- Scan’N’Cut C700
- We’R’Memory Keepers Foiling Quill
